Setting up Android for your email accounts


The following article explains how to download email account to your Android phone.

To configure your Android (software version 2.x) for email, please follow these steps:

1. From the Apps Screen, click Settings.
 


2. Under Settings, select Accounts & Sync.
 


3. Select Add Account
 


4. Select Mail as the type of account.
 


5. Click the Manual setup button.
 


6. Enter the requested information and click Next:
  • Email Address: the email address of the mail user
  • Username: the email address of the mail user
  • Password: enter the users password
  • Server: enter mail.yourdomainname
 


7. Enter the requested information and click Next:
  • Username: the email address of the mail user
  • Password: enter the users password
  • Server: enter mail.yourdomainname
 


8. Enter the requested information:
  • Account Name: a description of the mail user
  • User Name: a name of the mail user
 


9. Select Finish Setup
