*Subdomain is an area of your hosting that can be used for a completely different site. For example, if your site is www.mysite.com.au you could have a subdomain called shop.mysite.com.au — the 'shop' part is the subdomain.
^A parked domain is a domain that you also own that is aliased to your main domain that is being hosted and when that domain is visited, it will show the same site.
